This is what made Jackie Chan's Hong Kong movies all the better, showing the hero getting hurt. Throwing a hard punch? Best to show your fist hurting after the hit. Roundhouse kick? Some had better be blocked and you get punched back hard. The fights were never easy wins and many had Jackie retreating to safety.

Got to love the physical comedy he added to the fights as well.
